Toussaint Institute
Established in 1988, by Dr. Gail Foster, the Toussaint Institute Fund, Inc. has been known over the years for its scholarship program serving young males of African Ancestry, its documentation and support of Historically Black Independent Schools, its work in the Charter School movement, and its signature Education Expo parent empowerment conferences. As we approach our second decade of service to the community and introduce new programs and activities, Toussaint continues its tradition of engaging the community in tapping its own rich resources to empower our families and institutions. Toussaint’s founding vision is the establishment of a secondary school that will prepare our young to serve as conscious and effective leaders and professionals capable of fulfilling their life purpose, and of being of service throughout the Diaspora. Funds from this event will support the realization of that vision, which includes a boarding school, an exchange program with The Continent, and a Teacher Training Center. The Toussaint Institute Fund is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 corporation.
